Marie Houchins

Marie Houchins, 94, of Chesterfield, VA., passed away, Saturday, September 14, 2019. During her high school years, Marie developed her love of ice skating, which lead to her working and skating with “Holiday on Ice”, which took her across the continents. Following her time with Holiday on Ice, she settled into her role as a homemaker and secretary. Born in Long Island, NY to the late Henry and Clara Karll. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ashby B. Houchins; and two sisters. She is survived by her sons, Randy “RB” Bartley and Mark Houchins; sister, Jean Zegell. A graveside service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
