Marie Shelton

Mrs. Marie Virginia Moody Shelton, 97, of Colonial Heights, departed this life on June 21, 2012. She retired from Byramâ??s Restaurant in Richmond, VA, after 25 years of faithful service. She was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Lettie Moody of Prince George, VA. Mrs. Shelton was predeceased in death by her sisters; Margaret M. Fowlkes and Elsie M. Veazey, both of Dinwiddie, VA; Helen M. Riddle of Prince George, VA; Gladys B. Hilley of Hartfield, VA; and a brother, Benjamin M. Moody. Her survivors include a brother; W. Alton Moody, of Prince George, VA; eleven nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; numerous great-great nieces and nephews; a godchild; and special friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
