Marietta Lee Spiers

Marietta Lee Spiers, 74, of Dinwiddie Co., VA passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born in Brunswick, VA she was the daughter of the late Hector Austin and Mable Elizabeth Harris Elmore; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Harris; and her son-in-law, Richard Lowry. Mrs. Spiers is survived by her loving husband, Grant “Dickie” Ambler Spiers; two daughters, Julie A. Beasley and husband, David, and Cheryl R. Lowry and companion, Christopher Brooks; two granddaughters, Rachel M. Ladd, and Ashley N. Maitland and husband, Kyle; two grandsons, Justin O. Adcock and wife, Danielle, and Aaron L. Beasley; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Anne L. Ozmore; one brother, Hector A. Elmore and wife, Karen; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Rd., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rodney Jenkins, officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
