Marilyn Hayes Tiller

Marilyn Elizabeth Hayes Tiller, 77, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday October 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin R. and Anita Abrahams Hayes; and her brother, Rodderick Hayes. Marilyn was a former resident of Hopewell Heights where she started groups and passed on her passion of creativity and crafting. She volunteered at John Randolph Nursing Home for many years and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grand-children who she greatly loved. Marilyn is survived by her children, Timothy Neal Tiller, William Edwin Tiller (Kelly), Elizabeth Kathryn Henderson (Jim), Mary Anita Volk (Bobby), John Hayes Tiller (Donna); grandchildren, Adam (Leslie), Tiffany, Tori, Erin, Sarah, Tina, Alex, Abby, Drew, Olivia; great grandchildren, Skyler, Mikayla, Tyson, Owen, Trent, Jenadina, Kamron; the father of her children, J.P. Tiller Jr.; and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Wednesday November 2, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 3pm on Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery 3101 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223.
