Marion Fred Bollier, 87, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Bollier and Ida Singleton Bollier; his loving wife of 64 years, Doreen M. Bollier. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah B. Brigman; and Donna Heilman (Mike); grandchildren, Daniel Morissette (Crystal), Michael Heilman (Heather), Carrie Johnson (Vance), Craig Heilman, Monica Sulc (Alan); great grandchildren, Isabelle, Danica and Penelope Morissette; Addison and Michael Heilman; Caroline and Madalon Johnson; and J.J. Sulc; sister, Ella Wimberley; brothers, Cleatus Bollier and Robert Bollier (Bitty); as well as numerous extended family and friends. Mr. Bollier was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran serving for 20 years as a radar technician. After retiring from the Air Force, he went to work for the U.S. Post Office in Hopewell for more than 25 years. Then he went on to work for several years at Hopewell Builders Supply before finally retiring for good to care of his beloved wife Doreen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in the chapel. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered online at
