Marion Horner

Marion Davis Horner, 82, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Nora Edmonds Davis. Mrs. Horner was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Horner and brother, Arthur E. Davis. She was a charter member of the Willow Oaks Country Club and Civic Association, and an avid bowler. Mrs. Horner is survived by her children, Steven W. Horner, and wife Karen, of Smithfield, VA, and Mark E. Horner of Richmond; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley D. Nash, and husband, Donald of King William, VA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 2, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
