Marion Elizabeth Moehring

Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Spencer Moehring, 86, a long-time resident of Chester, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of Thomas David Spencer and Daisy Lee McFaden Spencer. Marion was a 1946 graduate of Waite High School in Toledo, OH, a retiree of Defense General Supply Center, and a truly dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church in Prince George.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Spencer Green and Claudette Spencer Sadler. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, D. Errett Moehring; two nieces, Cynthia S. Edmonds of Dinwiddie and Catherine S. Sorensen and husband Harley, of Chesterfield; one nephew Thomas “David” Sadler and wife Loretta of Matoaca; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Varina Baptist Church.
The family wishes to thank all nursing and administrative staff of the Matoaca Unit of Lucy Corr Village for their excellent care of Marion for the past two and one-half years.
