"Lady of Privilege" Ephesians 2:10 Went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2024. Born on April 12, 1928, Marion Don Francis was born, the second child, of Don and Edith Francis, in the historic town of Edenton, North Carolina. At the age of 2 her family moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. Marion had the privilege of attending Lenox Rd Baptist Church, and started her walk with Jesus before school age. Her Sunday school teacher told her about the Loving God, who loved her so much he paid the penalty for her sins. She found it hard to understand such love, but in her years, she loved so many people she understood deep LOVE. She was raised that life has consequences and lived her life to please God. She learned sportsmanship by playing basketball on a church team. She was privileged in so many ways. She found great joy in teaching Sunday School from the age of 18 until her 70's. She was privileged to become the wife of Clarence Sanford. She was privileged to become the mom of Hope, Holly, Don, and Brenda. Later in life she became mom to John, Dallas, Amy, and Lance. Then became a grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was privileged to have and to serve with many believers in Christ and always wanted to share GOD'S LOVE. Preceded in death by her dear husband of over 70 years, Clarence "Buck" Sanford; and her son, Don F. Sanford. She is rejoicing in heaven with many family members, and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
