Marjorie Bettie Davis, 86, of Disputanta, a lifelong follower of Jesus and widow of Ralph Henry Davis, Sr., passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. Born in Coalwood, WVA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lindsay and Nellie Melissa Burke Hall. Family members include her children, Dona D. Rachmel and husband, Lee (deceased), and Marjorie Sue Fowler and husband, Gene, Ralph Henry Davis, Jr. (deceased), Joseph J. Davis and wife, Linda, and Melissa Lynn Foster and husband, Clarence; grandchildren, Leo D. Rachmel and wife, Joan, Jay W. Rachmel and wife, Kristine, Kelly, Amy, Emily, Anna and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jake, Brent, Elizabeth, Trevor, Jordan, Daisy May, William and Davis; her twin sister, Margaret Billie Brinson; deceased siblings, Pauline Dixon, Christine Poore, Clinton Hall and Joseph Hall; and devoted nieces and nephews, Diane and Jim Parker, Richard and Barbara Zimmerman. Mrs. Davis will be laid to rest with her husband at the Fort Benning Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, GA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
