Marjorie Dubois

Marjorie Ann DuBois, age 86, of Chester, VA., passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010. She was born in Bradford, PA the daughter of the late John and Ann Slotta Platko. Mrs. DuBois was also preceded in death by her husband Gerald M. DuBois, Sr. and a son, Gerald M. DuBois, Jr. She was a case worker with the State of Pennsylvania Welfare Department for over 20 years. After retirement she continued her tradition of helping people by volunteering her time with the Ladiesâ?? Auxiliary at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Mrs. DuBois was a resident of Indiana, PA and a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church for more than 45 years. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing golf and was an excellent cook. She was a devoted wife, mother and a good friend to many who will miss her. Surviving family members include a son, Barry M. DuBois and wife, Jennifer, of Chester, VA; grandson Thomas DuBois, wife Karolina and great-grandson Andrew of Baltimore, MD; and grandson James and wife Patricia of Mechanicsburg, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 1 PM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Indiana, PA. Entombment will follow at St. Bernardâ??s Cemetery.
