Marjorie Reese

Marjorie Bain Reese, 85, of Dinwiddie died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Petersburg Home for Ladies where she resided for the past ten years. She was a native of Dinwiddie and daughter of the late Edward Spillman and Ethel Washer Bain, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Crawford â??Punkâ? A. Reese. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She retired from Dinwiddie County as a secretary for the Extension Service after 40 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda R. Sturt and husband, Eugene of Matoaca; two grandchildren, Mary A. Sturt and Eugene R. Sturt, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Kileigh Sturt and Reese Sturgill; two nieces, Winnie Campbell and Julia Joyce; one nephew, Richard â??Beanieâ? Temple, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Lebanon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Asbury Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon United Methodist Church, 12450 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841.
