Marshall James Akins

April 7, 1929 — February 5, 2017

Marshall James Akins, 87 of N. Prince George passed away, Sunday, February 5, 2017.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lily Woods Akins; brother, James Akins; sister, Cassie Lee Rumore.
Marshall served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corps, and the United States Army during WW II and the Korean War.
He survived by his wife, Patsy Akins; children, Rusty Akins, Marsha Akins, Matt Akins, Crystal Akins (Chris Bradshaw), Colton Akins (Beth Garrison), Bobby Rotsolk (Teresa); grandchildren, Richard Akins (Joanne), Michael Akins, Heaven-Leigh Rotsolk, Ciara Rotsolk, Joshua Truong, Dylan Akins, Devin Akins, Kyle Akins, Noah Bradshaw, Dayten Akins; great-grandchild, Braelynn Rakowski; sisters, Coleen Carter, Laura Mae Legrand and Mary Akins.
The family will receive friends, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA.
A graveside service will be held, 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA.
