Marshall Elmore

Marshall Warren Elmore, 79, of Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Sydnor Robertson and Annie Lee Gray Elmore. Mr. Elmore was a U. S. Army veteran and a former manager of Youngâ??s Supermarket in Petersburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Elmore Kozak and brothers, Randolph Madison Elmore and Wallace Elmore. He is survived by his brothers, John William Elmore and wife, Doris of Dinwiddie and S. Robert Elmore, Jr. and wife, Alice of Miami, FL; sister, Jean Bolling Elmore Bradshaw of Colonial Heights, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
