Marshall Johnson Jr.

Marshall Johnson Jr., 64, of Chester, Va. passed away May 26th, 2017 following a lengthy illness. He was born February 1st, 1953 in Petersburg, VA. He was Educated at Frederick Military Academy, Portsmouth, VA and Atlantic Christian College (Barton College), Wilson, NC, he worked in sales, building construction and home improvement. He loved life, his family, the beach, the guitar, pets, boats, fishing, hunting, Nascar and took great pride in sharing his grilling expertise with all.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Marian (Allen) Johnson of Petersburg VA. He is survived by his loving companion, Kathy Cotter of Chester, VA, a son Marshall Johnson, III of Dendron VA, a daughter, Macon N. Johnson of Neptune Beach, FL, and a sister, Kimbrough Wagner of Gettysburg PA. He will be greatly missed by not only his family but all those whose lives he touched.The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
