Martha Akom

Martha Lou Wise Akom, 94 of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Daughter of the late Albert R. and Mary Grove Wise. Martha was a retired school teacher with the Hopewell Public School system with over twenty five years of service. She was a member of First Methodist Church for many years. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Akom; two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son, Scott Akom and his wife Jane; grandsons, Chris Akom and his wife Karen, Brian Akom and his wife Whitney; great grandson, Ayden, Nathanial, Jack, and Lawson Akom. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George, VA.
