Martha Lee Clements, 72, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. Born June 10, 1934 in Waverly, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William E. Daniel and Nellie Weaver. She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Cutter" Clements.
A devoted housewife, Mrs. Clements was also a volunteer at McGuire Veterans Hospital for 20 years. While there, she received many awards including the National Volunteer of the Year for the VFW Auxillary. She was a member and former organist at the Waverly Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clements is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Pettway of Waverly and Marie McEnerney and husband "Mac" of Newport News, Virginia; a brother, W. E. Daniel, Jr., and wife Marisa of Prince George, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Graham Daniel.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Petersburg, Virginia, at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Troy Kaichen officiating.
