Martha N. Wallace

d. January 11, 2007

Martha Smith Narron Wallace, 90, of Hopewell passed into Heaven, with her loving family around her, on Thursday, January 11, 2007 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Wallace was born in Petersburg and had been a lifelong resident of the Hopewell area. She was a member of Claremont Baptist Church. Mrs. Wallace loved her family dearly. She loved her God and was very dedicated to her church. Her hobbies were fishing and gardening, which she loved. The daughter of the late John Charles and Martha Turnage Smith, she was a loving friend and was loved by all who were fortunate enough to see her wonderful smile. Even though a part of our heart is gone, we find comfort in knowing she is in Heaven where she joined her beloved daughter, Patsy, her husband Vernon and her son-in-law, Jim, who without a doubt was waiting to take â??Big Mamaâ? fishing. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her second husband, Harold Wallace, sisters Mary, who was her twin, Anne Williamson, Helen Cooke, brothers, Lee, James and Jacob Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Narron Hardin of Hopewell, two sons, Vernon Narron, Jr. of Claremont, Larry S. Narron of Hopewell, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, January 12, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dawson Bailey, pastor of Claremont Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Claremont Bible Ministry, P.O. Box 157, Claremont, Virginia 23899.
