Martha Fulghum Smith

Miss Martha Fulghum Smith of Petersburg, Virginia, died at Southside Regional Hospital on February 21, 2015. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Henry Smith III. Martha is survived by her sister, Anne Katherine Smith of Richmond, Virginia; brother Joseph Henry Smith, IV of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; cousins Thomas Fulghum Nunnally of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; William Hale Nunnally, Jr. of Washington, North Carolina; Samuel David Nunnally II of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Ann Gwyn Fulghum Crandley of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a nephew, Joseph Henry Smith V of Hot Springs, North Carolina. Martha is also survived by her devoted loving companion of fifteen years, Mr. Jim Schweitzer of Petersburg, Virginia, and a son, Jared Michael Baggette of Taiwan.Memorial service to be held Saturday, February 28th at 1:00 P.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 201 Walnut Boulevard, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Graveside service at Blandford Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the animal shelter of choice.
