Martha Pullen Woodfin, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Roy Davidson Pullen, Jr. and Annie Taylor Pullen of Sandston, VA. Mrs. Woodfin is survived by her devoted husband Lionel Montgomery Woodfin, Jr. â??Montyâ?; her daughter, Rebecca Woodfin Lee and husband, Jimmy; a son, Christopher Montgomery Woodfin and wife, Gina; two grandchildren, Brooke and Jordan Lee; two brothers, Roy Davidson Pullen, III and William Ibra Pullen; as well as a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Woodfin recently retired from Chesterfield County, Department of Juvenile Justice. She was a lifelong member of Sandston Presbyterian Church and Member of the Founders Club of Sandston. Mrs. Woodfin was also a member of the Joy Singers at Chester United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the Chester United Methodist Church on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2 p.m., with interment following in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Gary Schwartz, attn: Mailbox128, 1275 York Ave., New York, New York 10065.
