Mary Abernathy

Mary Martin Abernathy, 85, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, died on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Hopewell Health Care Center in Hopewell, Virginia. Mary was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Dinwiddie and a retired nurse from Petersburg General. She was born in Brunswick County to Capas and Martha Pritchette Martin and was the widow of Alfred Tudor Abernathy. In her later years she resided at the home of Fletcher and Cecile Perkins in Dinwiddie, Virginia. Mary is survived by eight nephews and two nieces. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 11 am in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church Katrina Fund or to the Dinwiddie Volunteer Rescue Squad. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
