Mary Ann Sneade Liles, 77, of DeWitt, VA, died September 30, 2024. Born and raised in Brunswick County, VA, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Sneade and Eleanor "Lee" McKissick Sneade; as well as, her brother, Richard Wayne Sneade (Ricky). Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard "Dickie" Liles, of Dinwiddie, Virginia; her three children, her son, George "Tripp" Marable, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, her daughter, Sara Hashem Liles, of Rockville, Maryland, and her son, Jerry Liles, of McGaheysville, Virginia; her grandchildren, Sam and Anna Sneade Marable, Jude, Noah, and Ruby Hashem Liles, and Tommy and Marina Liles. She is also survived by her sisters, Lois Neighbors and Betsy Browder; and her brothers, Frankie Sneade and Sammy Sneade. Upon completing high school, Mary Ann attended business school and continued her education while working at Richard Bland College. A diligent employee, Mary Ann was an invaluable asset and retired as an employee of the state of Virginia after over 30 years of service. A member of Bott Memorial Presbyterian Church for over 45 years, Mary Ann served as a church elder, session member, Sunday School teacher, and Vacation Bible School facilitator. Mary Ann loved her horses and served as a leader for the Dinwiddie Fence and Trail 4-H club. She devoted many hours to organizing meetings, as well as community and volunteer events. She thrived in any role she was given. Mary Ann was a woman of simple pleasures. She spent many precious summers vacationing at the beach with family. While she traveled the country alongside her husband, Dickie, with great enthusiasm, the place she loved the most was her home in DeWitt, VA. Mary Ann passed away in her own home, surrounded by loved ones. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Dinwiddie Chapel, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5 PM until 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Bott Memorial Presbyterian Church in DeWitt, Virginia, on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11 AM.
