Mary Vaughan Ayscue, 86, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was the widow of Walter G. Ayscue. She was the daughter of the late John Edward and Mary Westmoreland Vaughan. She was a member of Ocran United Methodist Church, the United Methodist womenâ??s club at Ocran, and participated in senior Olympics. She is survived by two sons, Michael Vertucci, Sr. of Dinwiddie and John Charles Ayscue and wife, Deanna of Colonial Heights; nine grandchildren, Michael Jr., Brian Vertucci, Toni Giles, Barbara Bishop, Heather N., Kristen, Joshua B., Jessica W. and Lauren Ayscue; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph E. Vaughan and John Calvin Vaughan and wife, Kathryn; best friends, Marsha and Charles Friedl; devoted pharmacist, Heath Marshall; and two other friends, Lisa Ayscue and Bonnie Vertucci. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, August 6, 2010 Ocran United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the church. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ocran United Methodist Church, 20221 Cox Road, Sutherland, VA 23885.
