Mary Kathryn Beaumont

Mary Hearding Beaumont, received her wings on November 6, 2023, and was reunited with the love of her life, Marion. She was born in Lebanon, Illinois, on October 20, 1936, to William Fred Hearding and Pearl Easterling Hearding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Earl Beaumont; parents; sisters, Iris Hearding Buckelman and Ruth Hearding Waits; and brother, William Robert Hearding. She graduated from Petal High School in May 1955. It was in the Petal, Mississippi School System that she met the love of her life, Marion Beaumont. They became fast friends in Kindergarten and eventually married on December 22, 1956. Marion drew her name for the presentation of Christmas gifts that year in Kindergarten and she was still in possession of the gift. After Marion graduated from college, he joined the military and they began their 24 year long adventure around the world, finally retiring in Petersburg, Virginia. She is survived by two children, Kathrine Beaumont Conner (Gregg), of Moseley, VA, and Marion Earl Beaumont II (Jenny), of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Brett Beaumont Conner, of Powhatan, VA, Morgan Conner Beaton (Jamie), of Moseley, VA, Logan Patrick Beaumont and Ryder Gibson Beaumont, of Raleigh, NC. Additionally, she is survived by two sisters, Elsie Hearding Perry, of Eatonville, MS, and Julia Hearding Davis, of Bossier City, LA; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary enjoyed the fellowship of her church family at Second Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Second Baptist Church, 3355 Johnson Road, Petersburg, VA 23805, with Pastor Joe Lewis officiating. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
