Mary Lee Bryant Bowling

June 25, 1931 — April 25, 2021

Mary Lee Bryant Bowling, 89, of Richmond, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. Bryant and Sadie Williams Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Bowling; and son, Jonathan M. Bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Aura B. Deane; grandchildren, John Deane (Christina), Leslie Anne Deane, and Lake Sterling Deane; great-grandchildren, Avalon, Christian, Matthew, and Grace; sisters, Vera Lewis (Barry) and Gloria Eley; and special caregivers, Sheila Richards and her daughter, Rona.
Mary Bowling was an avid gardener and was known for her green thumb. She enjoyed using the vegetables she grew in her recipes. Most of all, her pride and joy were her family whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one-hour prior from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
