Mary Adcock Brown

Mary Adcock Brown, 87, of Chester, VA, passed away peacefully January 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, William W. Adcock and Eva Londeree Adcock; her sisters, Ressie Davis and Maude Shepherd. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Hugh Waverly Brown, Sr.; son, Waverly Brown, Jr. and wife, Libby; son, David N. Brown; son, Scott Brown and wife, Trudy; grandchildren, Trey Brown and wife, Brittany, Loren Ochoa and husband, Andreas, D.J. Brown, and Cory Brown; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Brown, Silas Brown, Ellie Brown, Jeb Brown, Emmett Brown, and Ainsley Ochoa; sisters, Marie Humphreys, Anne Timberlake and husband, Tim, Dot Ragland and husband, Jack; sister-in-law, Dot Carter and husband, Gene. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; she was feisty and had a great sense of humor. She was a longtime member of Enon Church of God; she was a devoted prayer warrior and shared her faith with anyone that was willing. The family will receive friends 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at J.T. Morriss & Son - Chester Chapel, 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Enon Church of God, 900 Enon Church Rd. Chester, VA 23836. A committal service will be held 3:00p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Scottsville Cemetery, 400 Hardware Street, Scottsville, VA 24590.
