Mary Addlean Campbell

Mary Addlean Campbell, 96, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born to the late George and Nannie Marek, and raised in Ettrick, VA. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 16 years, Marshall Campbell; her brothers, Frank Marek, Willie Hollie, and Harvey Hollie; and her children, Raymond Perkinson, Rodger Perkinson, and Dianne Perkinson. She was a faithful member of Ettrick United Methodist Church until its closing, and loved to spend time with her family. She could often be found in the garden or canning in the kitchen. When she had the time, she loved to go to the beach. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara J. Perkinson (Butch); daughters-in-law, Linda Perkinson and Sharon Perkinson; grandchildren, Mary Vaughan (Gordon), Nancy Lory (Joe), James Perkinson, Mark Perkinson (Miranda), George Ray (Karen), Joy Black (Shane) and Rodger Perkinson II (Kristie); and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, on Monday, January 13, 2024, at 2 PM. The family will receive friends an hour prior, and interment will follow the service at the Marek-Belcher Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choice in her name.
