Mary Canada

Mary Lizzie Canada, 89, of Church Road, VA, widow of William Aaron Canada, Jr., passed away Monday, December 12, 2011. Born in Halifax County, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Letcher & Clara Crews Spencer. In addition, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Spencer. Mrs. Canada is survived by her son; William Larry Canada; daughter, Linda C. Ramsey and husband, Clinton; grandchildren, Clarke Canada and wife, Kara, Clara McCarthy and husband, Mike, Belinda Ingram, Mary Beth Wheelhouse and husband, Stuart, and Spencer Canada; great-grandchildren, Ryan Ingram and wife, Sarah, Sarah Wheelhouse, Alex Wheelhouse, Dylan McCarthy, and William Engels; brother, Jessie Spencer; sister, Doris Cole, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Entombment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
