Miss Mary Elizabeth Cook, age 103, died December 20, 2007 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in Clifton Forge, Va. July 8th 1904, she was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Rev. James Ellsworth and Mary Virginia Trahern Cook. She was preceded in death by her siblings; James Ellsworth Cook, Jr., the Rev. Thomas Cunningham Cook, Sr., Alice Trahern Cook Micklem, and Robert Kerr Cook. Miss Cook is survived by nephews; Austen Clifton Micklem, Jr. of Chester, Va., James Trahern Micklem, Sr. of Richmond, Va., Roland Thomas Micklem of Savanna, N. Y., Colbert Farrar Micklem of Lancaster, Va., the Rev. Thomas Cunningham Cook, Jr.of Pisqah Forest, N.C., the Rev. James Montague Cook of Badeville, Ala., Charles Howard Cook, Esq. of Columbia, S. C.; special cousins, Barbara Atkins Davis of Stovall, N. C. and Beverly Davis Walters of Richmond, Va.;sister-in-law, Mary Eloise Cook of Waynesboro, PA. and a host of great- great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 10:30 in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation service, visitation will follow the service.
