Mary Young Crichton

Mary Young Barnes Crichton, 94, of Petersburg, widow of John R. Crichton, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She was the daughter of the late John Harvey and Maggie Kelley Barnes; and was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Crichton; and her first husband, Wilton N. Bishop. Mrs. Crichton was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and Trinity United Methodist Church in Petersburg. She is survived by one son, Donald F. Bishop and wife, Christle; one grandson, Keith Bishop and wife, Sheila; two granddaughters, Ann Morrissette and husband, Allen and Lynn Freeburn and husband, Rick; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two devoted friends, Robin Maitland and Melissa Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 pm - 8 pm Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
