Mary Franks

Mary Parker Franks, 91, of Petersburg, widow of Herman Franks, died Monday, October 25, 2004 at her home. She was a native of Petersburg and was the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Sarah Blowe Parker. She is survived by a brother, Edward Parker of Petersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews including a devoted niece, Carolyn Morriss and her husband, Rennie Morriss of Petersburg, Joyce England of Chesapeake, Deena Walters of Colonial Heights, Richard Moss of Panama City Beach, FL, Donald Anderson of Colonial Heights, George Anderson of Prince George, Dale Anderson of Claremont, Larry Parker and Jerry Parker. A special thanks from the family to her three devoted caregivers, Willie Mae Bailey, Elizabeth Gilliam and Bettie Branch. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walnut Hill Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Rick Allison and the Rev. Roger L. Walters, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T.
