Mary Morehead Garrett

At home with Jesus, her Husband, Mother, Father, a Sister and two Brothers on October 29th, 2021. Mary Morehead Garrett is now in Heaven with her family. A graduate of the University of Georgia and retired dietitian from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) where Mary loved providing the nourishment of others. Mary spent her entire life enjoying feeding others with delicious nutritious wholesome meals while her husband fed the body with the word of God as a Pastor of Prince George Baptist Church. Mary also enjoyed watching those Georgia Bulldogs go up and down the field and anytime she had the chance she would tell you all about her big brother CL and how much he was involved in the education and success of so many lives at the University of Georgia. The love of Jesus being first, the love of her husband, and the desire to feed others, and the hundreds of Azalea’s in her yard you could not be around Mary for more than minute without seeing her love to make others happy. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Merchant’s Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA with the Rev. Ken Hendricks, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
