Mary Alice Hale

Mary Alice Mitchell Hale (Alice), 93, of Petersburg, VA passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Alice recently lived in Millville, NJ and Granbury, TX. . She was originally from Emporia, VA and was the daughter of Peter Manning Mitchell and India Rook Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Hale (Chick); daughter, Jennifer Chrisman and six siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Landin of Vero Beach, FL; son, Waverly Hale and wife, Dawnna of Granbury, TX; son-in-law, David Chrisman of Sandston, VA; grandchildren, Timothy Chrisman, Micah Chrisman, Whitney Landin, Trevor Hale, Austin Hale, and Garrett Hale; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Chrisman and Emily Chrisman. She is also survived by her sister, Lucy Davis, Emporia, VA. Alice was a member of West End Baptist Church. She was always willing to help others, enjoyed attending church and reading. The family will receive friends 12 noon on June 25, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Home, 103 South Adams Street, Petersburg, VA, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.
