Mary Gentry Heath

June 6, 1924 — December 24, 2012

Mary G. Heath, 88, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at the Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 6, 1924 in Chester, and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Minnie Gentry , one of seven children and was especially devoted to her sister, Blanche Green, who preceded her in death. She and her cat, Whiskers, made their home with her daughter and son in law for three years and was an active member of Rowanta Church, before her residency at Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was a very loving and caring mother to her children and a very good mother in law. She was blessed with five grandchildren and became known as “Nannie”. Later, she was again blessed with six great grandchildren. She was also known as “Mumsie” to her cat Whiskers. She is survived by her son, Ronnie and wife, June, and daughter, Teresa and husband, David; five grandchildren, Allison Heath, Angie Allen and husband, Troy, Heather Bridgman, Dave Irvin, Ashley Heath and friend Erik Johnson;. six great grandchildren, Jacob Booth, Corey Bridgeman and Kate Bridgman, Carson Irvin, Keeley Allen, Ronnie Elizabeth Johnson, and a special niece, Robin Adcock and husband, Joe. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, Funeral services will be private. Many thanks to the staff and personnel, especially, Wing 1 at the Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. In Christian love, we give many thanks to Rev.
