Mary Johnson

Mary Rebekah Johnson, beloved wife of James William Johnson went home to be with our Lord on the 5th of July, 2004. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hopewell, She was the daughter of the late John W. Bear and Florence E. Bear. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Johnson; her daughter, Rebecca Joan Westbrook; her brothers, Berkley B. Bear, John W. Bear, Jr., Wade A. Bear, and Howell T. “Bud” Bear; and hers sisters, Lennie B. Allen, Louise B. Rovero and Madeline Bear. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Olivia and Woodrow Blair of Winnfield, La., one sister, Katherine Bear Vernooy of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, two grandsons, Shawn Blair and his wife Brandy of Nebo, La., Scott Leone of Rockville, Maryland. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 8 2004 at the Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Virginia under the direction of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Hopewell, with Dr. Ron Bullis officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund 1107 W.
