Mary Etta Kanusek

On August 9, 2018, God in his Infinite Wisdom dispatched his Heavenly Angels to call home, his beloved Mary Etta Kanusek, of Prince George, VA. She was born April 5, 1931, to the late Mary Moore-Griffin and Patrick Griffin and step-mother, Alpha O. Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Kanusek, Sr.; and niece Tammy Dingas. She was a member of Gary Methodist Church.
Mary married the late, Daniel E. Kanusek, Sr., in 1950. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Dale Archer (Sonny), Judy Raines, Daniel E. Kanusek, Jr., and Donald Kanusek; her grandchildren, Buck Archer, Janet Raines, Daniel Kanusek, III., Jamie Raines, Michael Kanusek, Mandy Dillard, Casey Kanusek, and Sarah Alexander; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a devoted sister, Brenda Dingas (Tommy); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; devoted caregivers, Gloria Brumley, Darlynn Faucet, Danielle Bowman and Betty Rhodes.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
