Mary Curtis Kirkland

Mary Curtis Kirkland, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Colonial Heights, VA. She was born on November 9, 1914 in Wakefield, VA. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Kirkland. She is survived by her daughter, Cazell K. Bailey of Chester; four grandsons and their wives, Kirk and Tracy Bailey, Chuck and Debbie Bailey, Jim and Ronda Bailey and Mike and Michelle Bailey; 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She fought a long, hard battle with Alzheimer’s disease for 14 years and cared for by her daughter, Cazell and in her last years in Colonial Heights Health Care Center. The family would like to send a very specialand heartfelt thank you to the staff of the John Tyler Wing at the center. Words cannot begin to describe the love and compassion shown by these angels to Mary and also to Cazell. May she rest in eternal peace with God. All services were private and for family only.
