Mary Lee Knight

November 7, 1930 — December 27, 2017

Mary Lee Knight, 87, of Chesterfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Arzo and Mary George Smith; and has been reunited with her husband, William “Bill” Knight for eternity. Born and raised in Alabama, she married the love of her life where they traveled and lived all over this great country and overseas as an Air Force family. Mary fervently watched Fox News and CNN for the daily political news, and was a longtime member of the Chester YMCA. She loved children, helping to raise her grandchildren and their numerous friends. She cherished animals, especially her dachshunds. Mary was a homemaker and artist who passed her artistic talents to all four of her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her children, Billy Knight (Annette), Sam Knight, Sally Knight, Ginny Spiers; grandchildren, Jenny, Sam, Becky, Marshall, Georgia; four great- grandchildren, and a faithful companion Cheech. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors in the Neuro ICU department at MCV for your care and compassion. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Sunset memorial Park in Chester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Intermountain Deaconess Children’s Home 3240 Dredge Drive Helena Montana 59602 or Intermountain.org in her honor.
