Mary Margaret Kei, 90, of Prince George, Va. went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2008 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vendel (Ben) Kei, and sisters, Josephine Balazik, Katie Janosik and Anna Martin. She was born in Hopewell, VA. on March 27, 1918 to Andrew and Eva Kovalick. She was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church and was always ready for any occasion to volunteer her cooking skills. She retired, after 20 years of service, from Bridgestone/Firestone Polyester plant in Hopewell, Virginia. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Emma Minor, neighbors, Marion and Ralph Moore and their children, numerous nieces and nephews and their families. A Christian wake Service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2008 with visitation to follow in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home . A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Frank Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church 102 N.5th Ave. Hopewell, VA. 23860.
