Mary Louise McNulty 93, of Hopewell died peacefully in her sleep on Monday January 25, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward McNulty. Louise retired as a Registered Nurse from Allied Chemical and also worked at John Randolph Hospital. She was a member of the Hopewell Garden Club, Professional Woman’s Club, Helping Hands Circle at First United Methodist Church. Louise volunteered with Agency for Aging Crater District and was awarded as Volunteer of the Year in 1998 from the City of Hopewell. She was a talented seamstress and making different crafts. Louise was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and her strength was in her church and faith while raising her 3 children as a widow since 1957. Louise is survived by her son, Harry “Mac” McNulty and his wife, Sue; daughters, Mary Lou Fleming and her husband, Stewart, Martha Shula and her husband, Tom; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Friday February 5, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 502 W.
