Mary "Mimi" Traylor Martin

Mary “MiMi” Traylor Martin, 89, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, October, 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Susie Lee Harrison Traylor; and her husband, Marshall E. Martin, Sr. Mary was a lifetime member of Elm St. Baptist Church and worked for the Petersburg Bureau of Tourism for many years. She enjoyed gardening and reading and writing poetry in her free time. Mary is survived by her son, Marshall E. Martin, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Baxter; 5 grandchildren, Chris Baxter, Marsha Hargette, Marshall “Mark” Martin, III, Alecia Harrison, and Matthew Martin; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Traylor; special niece, Patsy Powell; and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Blandford Cemetery on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.
