Mary Owens

Mary Payne Owens, 83, of Lady Lake Florida, died Wednesday May 17, 2006. Mrs. Owens was born in Hartwell, West Virginia and moved to Lady Lake Florida in 1979. She was co-founder of the Lady Lake Wesleyan Methodist Church in Lady Lake Florida. She was a devoted homemaker. She is survived by; a son Ernie Wellman of Lady Lake, Florida, brother, William H. Payne Jr., of Blacksburg, Virginia, James Frank Payne of Hopewell, Virginia, three grandchildren; Ernie Wellman III Fruitland Park, Florida, Catherine Riley of Lake Mary, Florida, Andrew Wellman of Tallahassee, Florida, and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Petersburg Allegheny Wesleyan Church in Dinwiddie County at 4:00 PM Sunday May 21, 2006 with the Rev. Harry Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park on Monday May 22 at 10:00 AM.
