Mary Simonson Perkins

Mary Simonson Perkins, 74, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016. Mary was a true Christian and was dedicated to her Bible studies. She also enjoyed her crafts, coloring, and painting groups. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Lee and Lola Marie Tremelon; sister, Jean Proptes; brothers, Russell and Clint Tremelon. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda D. Hill; sons, Michael and Troy Simonson; brothers, Bernard E. Tremelon, Jr. and Randy Tremelon; grandchildren, Tony Hill (Shannon), Nattile Clarke, Michael E. Simonson, Jr., Christopher J. Simonson, Brianna Crowder Simonson, Katelyn Smith (Michael), and Tabatha Simonson; eleven great-grandchildren; aunt, Tootsie Ackerman; and extended loving family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
