Mary Emma Ragsdale

Mary Emma Ragsdale, 92, of McKenney, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. Born in Amelia County, she was the daughter of the late James Alfred Allen and Emma Scott Burton Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Ragsdale. Mrs. Ragsdale was a graduate of Longwood University. She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church, the Jamestowne Society, and the Society of the Descendants of Francis Epes I. She is survived by her son, George Allen Ragsdale; cousin and close friend, William Dudley Allen, III; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome to visit Mrs. Ragsdale from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 30 Harpers Bridge Rd., Rawlings, VA 23876.
