Mary Ethel Reed

Mary Ethel Reed, 83, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born in Lumberton, NC she was the daughter of the late Joe and Dessie Hagans; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Russell Reed; and a daughter, Betty Grable Full. Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughters, Peggy Newhouse, Mary Johns and Charlene Casto; grandchildren, Lisa Coble, Pamela Newhouse, Joshua Bostic, Kelsi Full, Ashley Full, Kodie Smith and Jacob Smith; great-grandchildren, Kassidy Camper, Aedan Coble and Zachary Coble; two sisters, Ruth Sowers and Ruby Woods; and two brothers, Harvey and William Hagans. Mrs. Reed will be remembered as a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local humane society in memory of Mary Reed.
