Mary Frances Small

Mary Frances Small, 86, a lifelong resident of Petersburg and widow of Robert Bernard Small, passed away Friday, March 07, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert Allen and Louise Sherman Herzog. Mrs. Small was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church and a longtime employee of Dr. Milton Ende’s medical practice. She also volunteered many hours with the SPCA and the Petersburg Animal Shelter. She is survived by her children, Janet Small Nugent and husband, Bill, Donna Kay Allen and husband, Roderick, and Robert Allen Small; grandchildren, Phillip Nugent, Amanda Nugent, William Sampson and wife, Kimberly, Roderick Allen, Jr. and wife, Leslie, Nicholas Allen and wife, Rebecca, and Whitney Ketchum and husband, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Sampson, Tripp Allen, Benton Allen, Hanlin Allen and Levi Ketchum. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dunlop House for their excellent care and support. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 10th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
