Mary Tiller

Mary Katherine Tiller, 94, of Hopewell, VA, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Mrs. Tiller was born in King and Queen County and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Mattie Howell Davis and the widow of John Perry Tiller, Sr.. Mrs. Tiller was a faithful member of First Baptist Church since 1928, a member of the Singing Saints and a member of Woodman of the World. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette T. Caricofe and her husband Ronald, Sr. of Hopewell, a son John P. Tiller, Jr. of Prince George, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, six half-sisters, Byrd, Estelle, Betty, Shirley, Nancy and Paige, two half-brothers, Glen and Roger, numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to this service. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.
