Mary Tyflos

Mary Zapantis Tyflos, 88, of Disputanta, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010. Born in South Boston, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Euridiki Zapantis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Athen Tyflos and a grandson, Stavros John Korkos, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Kali Tyflos Korkos; grandchildren, John Stavros Korkos, Jr. and JoAnna Chrysoula Korkos-Woodward and husband, Paul; great-grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Korkos and Stavros John Korkos, Jr.; sister, Irene Zapantis Garrett; nephew, Chris Garrett. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 23rd at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends following the prayer service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Arlington National Cemetery.
