Mary Wayda

Mary Sapack Wayda, 91, of Hopewell, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Wayda was born in Swoyersville, PA and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Mikita Sapack, her husband John A. Wayda and five brothers. Mary was very active in the community as a volunteer with the Respite Group in the community center., and a long time member of St. James Catholic Church. She was rewarded by being elected into the Hopewell Senior Citizen hall of Fame. Mrs. Wayda is survived by her son Jack Wayda and his wife Kaye, a daughter Mary Ann Dauksys, four grandsons, Kenneth Wayda and his wife Jennifer, Michael Wayda and his wife Kristin, Christopher Dauksys and his wife Julie, Philip Dauksys and his wife Kristina, four great grandsons and many friends. A Rosary will be said on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with visitation following until 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Wiggins officiating.
