Mary Willey

Mary â??Sugieâ? Marlowe Willey, age 66, of Hopewell, VA, died on Saturday, March 10, 2007. She was born in Conway, SC, the daughter of the late Eddie and Ruth Blackwell Marlowe. She was the widow of Donald Willey. Mary was retired from civil service with Fort Lee and was a long time member of Hopewell Pentecostal Holiness Church. She more recently attended Enon and South Hopewell Churches of God. Mary was also very fond of her friends of the McDonaldâ??s breakfast club. Surviving are a son, Jeffrey E. Tharp of Southampton, VA; a daughter, Susan E. Tharp of Hopewell; a grandson, Timothy Tharp of Orlando, FL; a sister, Jean Weaver and husband Sonny of Hopewell; two brothers, Donald Marlowe and wife Janice of Hopewell, and Roger Marlowe and wife Faith of Lakeland, FL; her long time companion, Dick Gray of Hopewell; and numerous other family members. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Hopewell, VA on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
