Maryanne Jones

Maryanne McCarter Jones, 81, of Petersburg, widow of Clifford R. Jones passed away Friday, July 13, 2012. Mrs. Jones served proudly in the US Army. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bertus â??Kingâ? McCarter. Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Robert C. Jones of Murrell, SC.; daughters, Maryanne Sedgeley of Whitestown, IN, Deborah A. Benning Wylliesburg, VA, Maureen Mack of Colonial Heights, VA., Jacqueline Texter of Lanoka Harbor, VA and Kathleen Sproston of Petersburg, VA; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thurday July 19, 2012 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday July 20, 2012 at St. Josephâ??s Catholic Church, 151 W .Washington St. Petersburg, Va. 23803.
